1st Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill

This date, the Batangas Province conducted its First Quarter 2011 Nationwide Earthquake Drill by virtue of Memorandum from NDRRMC and RDRRMC dated 04 and 09 February 2011 respectively.

The OPD-Batangas BFP Monitoring Team, pursuant to Memorandum from SUPT IRENEO P PALICPIC, Batangas BFP Provincial Director, headed by SRINSP ULDARICO S TOLENTINO (3rd and 4th District) and INSP NOEL D LEYESA (1st and 2nd District) conducted monitoring with regards to the above-mentioned memorandum provincewide.

With FO3 Mario Neil A Aranda and FO1 Gerard D Mendoza documented the events through photography.



Likewise, FO2 Emilio A Batac and FO2 Noel I Laloon with BFP personnel of SAN JOSE Fire Station conducted Fire Safety Information and Dissemination as well as Earthquake Drill at St Joseph Academy (High School Level), Municipality of San Jose, this province.

Risk Reduction Management Meeting

This date SUPT IRENEO P PALICPIC, Batangas BFP Provincial Director with FO3 Mario Neil A Aranda BFP, attended meeting with Mr Diosdado Macalintal at PPO-Batangas regarding Risk Reduction Management.

Present were different representatives from City and Municipal Coordinating Councils, PNP Provincial Command, Philippine Red Cross, and PHO.

Topics discussed were Republic Act 10121, Fire Prevention Month for 2011, and Disaster Preparedness regarding TAAL Volcano.

BFP-Batangas hosts DILG Family

This date, the Batangas BFP hosted the DILG Family, to include, PNP, BJMP, Maritime Police, and CIDG. The meeting lasted from four (4) hours from 8 am to 12 NN at Recepton Hall Banay-Banay Eatery, San Jose, Batangas.

With SUPT IRENEO P PALICPIC, as the presiding officer, topics discussed were Plans and Programs for CY 2011 as well as Issues and Concerns, Fire Prevention Month Projects and Activities, and Crime Rate.

OPD personnel, FO3 Mario Neil A Aranda, FO1 Esmeralda M Sanchez, FO1 Lendl P Palicpic, and FO1 Gerrylen P Titular are present.

PES Seminar 2011

This date, SUPT IRENEO P PALICPIC MPA DSC BFP, Batangas BFP Provincial Director with FO3 Mario Neil A Aranda, C, HRD/ HRM-OPD Batangas conducted seminar on Performance Evaluation System (PES) at the Office of the Provincial Director, San Jose, Batangas in partial fulfillment in the Performance Commitment of BFPR4A relative to its Continuous Improvement Program. Discussed therein are the importance of the said System including the PERC Committee, computations and proper fill-up of the forms.

The eight-hour seminar was participated by at least twenty-five (25) BFP personnel from different fire stations, Batangas BFPwide.

FO1 Emilio A Batac and FO1 Rexon Dinglasan provides the opening statement and invocation.

Performance Commitment CY 2011

Last week, the Batangas BFP Provincial Director discussed Performance Commitment to all City/ Municipal Fire Marshals, Officers-in-Charge and Fire Prevention Officers.

Topics also include BFP personnel who were reassigned without the approval of DILG Secretary wherein said Bureau Orders as well as Regional Orders were revoked effective 17 August 2010 up to this date.

In this context, by virtue of Department Order Nr 2011-76 , all affected BFP personnel will reassume their previous fire stations.

By virtue of the above Department Order and Memorandum from DCA and BFPR4A dated 02 and 03 February 2011 respectively, the reassignment of above mentioned BFP personnel covering the period 17 AUGUST 2010 to this date without the approval of the Secretary of the DILG are hereby REVOKED.

In this connection, BFP personnel listed above (please click to enlarge) shall reassume their former post immediately.

Further informed that, BFP personnel NOT LISTED above BUT are affected by the said Department Order are instructed to report to OPD-Batangas on 07 FEBRUARY 2011 at exactly 1000H in GOA uniform with their respective Bureau/Regional Order.

Regional Command Conference

Yesterday, the newly designated Regional Director, CSUPT NIMFA D CUARTEL CEO VI BFP, conducted a Regional Command Conference at Regional Headquarters 4A, Camp Vicente Lim, Calamba City, Province of Laguna.

Topics discussed were Issues and Concern regionwide as well as her Plans and Programs for CY 2011.

Also discussed were Kick-off ceremony for the upcoming Fire Prevention Month CY 2011 with theme "Kahandaan sa sunog... tungo sa Kaunlaran" and the Urban Fire Olympics.
