PMCC Regular Meeting

SUPT IRENEO P PALICPIC, Batangas BFP Provincial Director, with FO3 Mario Neil A Aranda and FO2 Emilio A Batac, attended the regular meeting of PMCC which was held last May 12, 2011 at PNP Maritime Office, Gate 2, Batangas Port, Batangas City.

Vehicular Accident at KM93, Brgy Malainin, Ibaan, Batangas

Last May 6, 2011, a vehicular accident occurred on or about 0725H at Brgy Malainin, Ibaan, Batangas where a HINO 6 wheeler truck with plate number UJJ-602 containing hydrogen cylinders and Arcal 21 collided to the perimeter fence of KM93 Startollway.

The cause was the bursting of the right front tire while traveling southbound heading Batangas City.

Responders besides the Startollway company, were SFO1 Osmundo Balbastro and Ibaan fire personnel with FO3 Mario Neil A Aranda, OPD-Batangas BFP representative, as well as personnel from LGU utilizing their LGU fire truck and the IBAAN PNP. Everyone conducted quick response and extended necessary assistance to the said incident.

The area was cordoned immediately for possible explosion of combustible cargos. Afterwards, the cylinders were immediately retrieved and handled for proper transport.

SUSPENSION OF FALAR

Attached herewith is Memorandum issued by the Provincial Director - Batangas BFP re: Suspension of FALAR as one of the pre-requisites in securing Fire Safety Inspection Certificate. Download the image to secure copy of the said Memorandum.

Farewell to FO1 Roy Gutierrez

This 27th of April 2011, on or about 10:55 in the morning, FO1 Roy G Gutierrez, member, CALATAGAN Fire Station - BATANGAS BFP, passed away due to vehicular accident while on their way to a fire call at Sitio Salipit, Brgy Talisay, Calatagan, Batangas.

The cause of death was when the fire truck turned turtle at Brgy Carretunan, Calatagan, Batangas after swerving to the left side of the road while avoiding a certain tricycle.

FO1 Ruel A Taguibao BFP, fire truck driver, suffered injuries and was immediately brought to the nearest hospital for medical treatment.

SUMVAC 2011

This date, the Batangas Bureau of Fire Protection conducted SUMVAC-2011 (Summer Vacation Lakbay Alalay 2011).

Spearheaded by SUPT IRENEO P PALICPIC, Batangas BFP Provincial Director, deployed fire trucks in connection with the above on all strategic places where most summer vacationists travel.

These fire trucks are from Batangas City, Lipa City, Tanauan City, Municipalitites of Sto Tomas, Malvar, Ibaan, Cuenca, San Jose and others.

The Batangas BFP are on HEIGHTENED ALERT effective 20 April 2011 until 25 April 2011.

Also, INSP GLENN SALAZAR BFP, one of the members of the Regional Inspection Team spearheaded by SUPT ROMEL C TRADIO BFP, conducted ocular inspection regarding the same.

PMCC Regular Meeting

The Batangs BFP Provincial Director instructed FO3 Mario Neil A Aranda and FO2 Emilio A Batac to attend the regular meeting of PMCC.

The meeting was held this April 12, 2011 at Camp Miguel Malvar, Batangas City.

Topics discussed includes Anti-Human Trafficking (discussed by a representative from the Department of Labor and Employment), Taal Volcano Status Alert Level 2 , and BFP's Action Plan, Plans and Programs for CY 2011.

The Batangas BFP First Responder Team pursuant to Regional Order Nr 057-2011 was mentioned in relation to additional support from BFP Higher Office.

Personnel Mentoring

SUPT IRENEO P PALICPIC MPA DSC BFP, Batangas BFP Provincial Director conducted Personnel Mentoring in compliance to Memorandum from BFP Regional Headquarters 4A re: Personnel Mentoring dated 05 April 2011.

Affected BFP Personnel are those with First Level Eligibility and with NON-Baccalaureate degree holders.

The mentoring was held last 08 April 2011 at Lipa City Fire Station with FO3 Mario Neil A Aranda, C' HRD/ HRM - OPD Batangas R4A, as photographer and recorder.
